I'm really digging the new update! I particularly like the new animations and live tile options. The pop up "Did you know?" is particularly helpful, although I'm sure some may like an option to disable (I didn't see one).

One thing I noticed though is that it seems like all comments are loaded as soon as you open a new post. On posts with large numbers of comments, it gets a little bogged down. Is it possible to load say, the first 100 and when you get to the end of the list, it pulls down the next 100 or so?

Keep up the great work!

Kinda disappointed that the main panorama page is still exceedingly laggy..

I have an AT&T Focus, build 8107, and have no problems with a laggy start screen. Have you tried un- and reinstalling?

I too have build 8107. Yes I tried un and reinstalling. Its not necessarily unusable or anything like that, it just gets jumpy sometimes when swiping across screens. The subreddit list is the same. Maybe I'm spoiled by the overall smoothness of the os haha

How? I need to do this D: is interop unlock required?

You need a registry editor, which may require interop unlock. It's all just a matter of changing a Registry Key from ATT-US to ROG-CA. You can find a guide from XDA by binging it :D.

This continues to get better. paying for it was an easy decision . 1 issue I have is I get lag for about 20 seconds if I open a link in IE. I'd like to have the ability to save an image without opening IE.

Love the app but I would really appreciate if the name of the person who submitted the story was a different shade or color than every other person. Would make reading IAmA a lot easier.

I just saw that happen on my girl friends phone. I think it might be an update bug. From the main screen if you refresh from the AppBar it should fix it :)

I've only been a redditor for about a month, having found the place through Minecraft. A couple of weeks ago I searched the marketplace for a Reddit app and installed the free version of Baconit. I instantly forgot whether I'd paid for it or not. Clicking the link for this thread reminded me that there are two versions so I checked which one I had (UK marketplace). I've bought the paid version now.

Can I offer a suggestion? I think you should put a reminder in the free one that there is also a paid version available. There are bound to be other people like me who would gladly hand over a bit of cash for your work but are unaware that they haven't, or that they can. It doesn't need to be intrusive, just something on the start screen would suffice.

I've also got a feature request. I'd like to be able to see a list of the posts I've made. I keep clicking on Comment Karma, thinking that it will do exactly that.

Thanks for the app. It's great.

Or, convert the free version into a paid app with a trial option. This way it's very simple for people to pay if they like the app, without being penalised by having to setup baconit all over again in another version of the app.

I think sometime when I get it more stable / complete I will fork them into a free limited app, and a pro full featured app. That way the beginners can use it as much as they want with out paying. Or I might just keep it free, because why not? :)

I know it's your app, and ultimately it's your decision, but I think you should avoid making a free version limited in any way. A pro version, sure, but don't limit the free one!

Ever going to get around to enabling portrait mode for when we're commenting? I'm one of the wierdos with a LG Quantum so I end up commenting sideways a lot.

Bug: in landscape view when the app tray is on the right, subreddit story titles don't wrap to the next line at the app tray, but at the edge of the screen, so some text is under the tray and can't be read.

Bug: if I'm viewing a subreddit in landscape mode, hit Back (still in landscape), switch to portrait, and then pick a subreddit to view, the stories in the subreddit will still wrap their text as if I were in landscape mode. I have to go to landscape and then to portrait again while viewing the subreddit to fix it. The pivots, though, are correctly in portrait.

Loving the app. I use it almost every day. I also like that you can collapse comments, but I noticed that (as far as I'm aware) collapse the first parent comment - only ones underneath that. Any plans on adding that as a feature?

Really nice app, I particularly like the animations you added. From someone who used a reddit apps on Android, WP7 etc, Baconit is the best I have see thus far.Well thought out. ...I have one suggestion or maybe a favour, can you allow the app icon background colour change with the theme in use?

If you are using any of the last 4 icons they should change to the background color, is your's not?

Still has the grey background in the program listing but if I pin to start the tile has the theme colour. The program listening icon with the reddit alien I'm referring too. Mine is grey despite having a red theme selected... Hope you understand. Thanks for your wonderful contribution again.

I'm new to WP7 and loving my Lumia 710 so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

I just got the new update and noticed that I am no longer allowed the option of turning off Baconit as a background task (in settings>applications>background tasks). Is there a reason for that? I like knowing/controlling what is running in the background.

I don't know what you mean, there still should be that option there. I can't remove it. Also you can control the background updater from the Baconit settings

Question: Do you use GZip compression for your HTTP requests? If not, would you consider implementing it in your app?

See this post for more details: http://www.jeff.wilcox.name/2012/01/windows-phone-gzip-support-by-morten/

I tried, but I am running into a lot of problem. In addition to that, it doesn't support cookies currently, so anything that requires a login cookie wouldn't work. Baconit does use it for one or two things though. Thanks :)

I love every change that I have noticed so far but I do have one comment. I recently discovered that from my cameras share feature I can share to Baconit in order to submit a post to reddit (great idea btw) however I was quite appalled when I realized the image which was taken in portrait mode uploaded in landscape. I'm not sure what the problem was but I thought I would point that out. Thank you for the app and I hope you continue to update and improve it.

Bug: if I tap on a large comment, the "share" button is truncated.

Bug: the last subreddit in the list of subreddits is partially hidden behind the app tray.

Continued outstanding work. Thanks. As a suggestion, would it be possible to make use of the standard wp7 long-press for functions? For example, long-press on a post or comment and be offered the option to upvote or downvote or view link, etc. I find myself long-pressing on stuff out of habit, but that's obviously not the way you've developed it thus far.

The problem with long press is it takes so long. Originally that is how I had it working, but it took to long to do stuff with comments. :)
