Early Experiments & School Projects
The original project index and website index, both preserved in January 2011, list several smaller projects that predate the mobile apps. Some entries have explicit years; others only survive as short descriptions.
Early Websites
- Animation Website (2004): Quinn's first website, according to the original website index.
- Fireworks Website (2006): A website made for fireworks sales.
- Crazy Horse (2007): A final project for a web design class, built around supplied images.
- Fort Wayne Decorative Curbing (2008): A website for his dad's company. The index dates it November 6, 2008 and says Quinn continued to maintain it.
Quinn's own website also had a small community component. The May 2009 homepage offered registration and sign-in, and highlighted an All Users page displaying members' Miis and personal mottos.
Java Applets
- Pong: A game written from scratch. Quinn noted that it still had some flaws and glitches.
- Shooter: An unfinished shooting game. The original description was uncertain whether it worked.
- Freezer: An experiment intended to freeze a computer. Quinn reported that it only froze and shut down the Java runtime.
These applets were described as some of Quinn's earliest work. The page does not establish their creation years, and their original Java applet runtime is not reproduced here.
School Projects
- Atom Project: The project index labels this chemistry project 2006. The website index separately lists an Atom Model in Flash dated October 16, 2005. The surviving descriptions do not establish whether these were the same version, so both dates are retained.
- English Final (2007): A Wii television commercial, newspaper advertisement, and radio advertisement made with friends.
- English Final (2008): A collection of work presented in three parts. The surviving index does not describe the individual pieces.
- Purdue Java Projects: A directory of projects from Quinn's computer science classes at Purdue.
The archived index preserves these descriptions. It does not, by itself, confirm that every original program, video, or assignment remains available.
